Warhammer: The Old World – Slow Grow League

(if you want to bring a 2000pt list in addition to the 750pt list it gets scored as an RTT as well)
It’s about learning the game, meeting the amazing ToW community, and rack up some League points:
Join new and seasoned players on the launch event for the Slow Grow League. This is a 750pt Battle March event, but you may optionally bring a 2000pt list to play larger games and get scored as an RTT if your opponent agrees.
Don’t worry about being new, this is a friendly event. Players are encouraged to ask questions and seasoned players are encouraged to run games with newcomers as tutorials. The NY area has some of the best ToW players in the country who are also great community builders and love to teach the game.
Q: I’m new and I’m confused by what list I should bring…
A: Mandatory to bring a 750pt Battle March list. This can be unpainted. The objective is to learn or re-learn the game and meet the awesome NYC Old World community. There will be experienced players on deck to help you out and play with you. You may bring a 2K point list and if your opponent wants to play 2K during your round go for it but there will be no extra time.
Q: I’m experienced and I’m confused by this combined format…

What to bring:
Army: 750 points (or 75pts and one optional 2000pts if you would like the option) using the core rulebook, your army rules, and the Battle March restrictions. Painted is nice but this is a slow grow so let’s just get playing and learning rules.
Printed or written down list/s: We suggest using a list building tool which will apply any and all checks like New Recruit (link: https://www.newrecruit.eu/ ) which is free to build lists. This allows you to add Battle March restrictions.
Playing tools: dice, measuring tape, templates (round 5” and 3”, Flame. Printable templates available)

Warlord: Most wins in the round Robin format, tie breaker victory points
Representing the Colours: best looking army (painting, conversions, vibes all count)

Anyone can join at any point
Orctober 750 points:
SCORING: 250pts for playing against each opponent; winner adds margin of victory; play as many people you during the month
June 1000pts: SCORING: 500pts for playing against each opponent; winner adds margin of victory; play as many people you during the month
July 2000pts (at bigger points values you need proportionally less models as characters take up a lot of points): SCORING: 250pts for playing against each opponent; winner adds margin of victory; play as many people you during the month
Recording Game Results:
Games against individual opponents count for participation once. Scoring will be monthly with the April Launch Event counting for May.
Spoils of War:
Winners: Slow Grow Events, Monthly, and Overall
War Victory: based on overall points (participation and score)
Warlord: General with the most wins
Veteran: General who participated in the most battles (person who didn’t win another trophy and participated in most battles.
