Here is the standard schedule for Malifaux Monthly:

Doors Open 9:45am
Morning Game 10:00am - 1:00pm
Lunch Break 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Afternoon Game 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Cleanup 5:00pm - 5:30pm

This schedule is designed to encourage games to start and end at around the same time, so it’s easier for folks to get two games in, get lunch together, etc. But this schedule is loose. Feel free to arrange games whenever you like, so long as they start no earlier than 10:00am and end no later than 5:00pm.

By default, Malifaux Monthly games will be played using Fourth Edition rules and the latest Gaining Grounds document, with chess clocks set to 1h20m per player (pausing between turns). When you run out of time, you may still score points and win the game, but you cannot activate models, cheat fate, empower duels, spend soulstones, etc.

However, if the players mutually agree, you can use a different time limit; you can nix chess clocks altogether; or you can use variant rules. Go nuts!

It’s generally a good idea to plan on bringing your own Malifaux mat and terrain. The club has some mats and terrain that we can use, but most of the mats aren’t Malifaux-specific, and only some of the terrain is appropriate for Malifaux. When in doubt, arrange games ahead of time in the Discord and sort out which mats and terrain you’ll be using before you arrive.

Here is the Malifaux Monthly schedule for the rest of 2025. In November, instead of Malifaux Monthly, we will be holding a tournament: the Autumn Duel (on November 8, 2025). There will be separate event pages (and separate tickets) for each of those tournaments, but they’re listed here in the schedule for reference:

Sunday, June 29, 2025
Saturday, July 19, 2025
Saturday, August 16, 2025
Saturday, September 27, 2025
Saturday, October 18, 2025
Saturday, November 8, 2025 **Autumn Duel**
Saturday, December 13, 2025

Finally, some general etiquette stuff:
-Be nice and respectful to each other. The organizers reserve the right to ask you to leave if you’re being a jerk. If you encounter a problem with another player, please notify an organizer and we’ll address it.
-Be gentle with terrain, your opponent’s minis, battlemats, etc. Put things back where you found them and store them properly.
-Treat the space well. If you eat a snack during a game, grab a red tray from the kitchen and put your food on top of it. The club has cup holders you can hook onto the sides of tables to hold beverages and prevent disastrous spills. Don’t leave food out and clean up after yourself.
